TbtBusDrv_DeviceDesc8A17 = 'Thunderbolt(TM) Controller - 8A17' It is also worth noting that the new drivers define 16 new PCI IDs for new unknown Thunderbolt controllers: I am hoping that the one downloaded from the store will work better. Has anybody managed to get this app installed from the store? Some of the driver downloads have the app included, but it is buggy and barely works. If you install the new driver type, the old Thunderbolt Software will refuse to work, even after being reinstalled, unless you go to Regedit and tweak keys in HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/nhi or HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/ThunderboltService (I can never remember which). But on my computer, and on others not owned by me, the app refuses to download (Code: 0x803FB005), regardless of if the new or old drivers are installed. The UWD drivers are paired with the Windows Store app. If you look at the list of driver downloads, the new ones are 1.X instead of 17.X versions. Intel is transitioning from standard drivers to UWD drivers.
